Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel - Sha Extra Plus

Hotel is in a good location, close to beach, Its quiet and comfortable and I would happily stay there again.

Location. Balcony of superior room overlooking Pattaya beach as well as Pattaya skyline, simply great. Breakfast has something for everybody. Staffs are friendly. Check in & check out are quite fast.

Only one con is there are ants in the room.

The room is over viewing pattaya beach almost the whole thing, near 711 and shops excellent location for those who don't want the loud night life sound.

Checkout time, with no extra hour to checkout, you have to checkout 12pm sharp and they told me it's fully booked, but I can tell it's not even half booked ! swiming pool staff not helpfull enogh most of the time you have to go and ask for your drink or food over the pool bar, pool staff will never go around and ask you would would you like. Hot water not constent.

Fresh options for breakfast with many varieties to choose from and Vegetarian items, for example.

Superb location right opposite beach with brilliant views from balcony. Staff great. Room was huge with seperate lounge area and massive extra king bed. Our room was clean and no noise but we were on 12th floor. Food was very good and of course very cheap even with room service. Anything better in Pattaya... I would doubt it at our rate of about 1800 baht a night. Stayed 7 nights and would have liked longer.

The restaurant here was outdoor with a Beach ambiance, we both ordered excellent dishes. The location was good and stunning, for example, Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya was not too far away from the hotel. A main shopping street and a shopping street were right next door.

The bed was huge and very comfortable, location was very good as away from main crowds but not too far too walk. Breakfast very good, lots to choose from and open till 10.30 every morning. Staff were very happy but not able to understand us very well.

Communcation very hard as most of staff not able to understand our requests, asked 3 times for more tea bags and coffee but never arrived. In bathroom and around mini bar area their were lots of small black creatures crawling around (think they were knats), also shower had no recess so everytime shower was used you ended up with water every where on the bathroom floor.

Very good hotel , large room and it is a very clean and modern with many English TV channels and variety TV channels, good location , good swimming pool

The facts without the fluff

Great location on Beach Road with amazing views of the Gulf and close to attractions. Spacious, modern rooms come with fine balconies. Breakfast is superb, with a fantastic variety of dishes. Friendly staff enhance the enjoyable atmosphere, though some rooms might need a few minor touch-ups.

Nice fresh and clean rooms. Nice ocean view. Nice big sunbeds at the hotel pool. Just cross the road to reach the beach.

The hotel is situated just next to a couple of "Thai bar streets"... The noise from those streets can be annoying at night time, at least if your room as a balcony to the north.

A nice pool area, looked good for even small chidren,.

Pool area staff rather inattentive, like, you were required to go order any drinks poolside, rather than the staff coming around occaisionaly to enquire if anything needed. We asked for a late checkout but were offered only till 1300pm as they said hotel was fully booked (hotel was not busy in the least), but when we offered to pay a little extra, the room automatically became available, I can understand charge extra when hotel very busy, but when its 1/2 empty, things like that dont encourage you to return.

The fitness center's air conditioning wasn't sufficient!!! Upon entering the lobby, I expected a more refreshing atmosphere. It felt sticky. A laundromat would elevate the convenience for long stays!!!

The Thai Message in this hotel is very good, much better than those at KaoSan Road. Surely the price is reasonable, not too high. 30% off when we were there.

The Hotel doesn't have a private beach though it locates beside beach

I had to check out one day earlier due to personal reasons, but the hotel staff inssisted that i pay for the night for what ever reason. they said that this due to me booking through Booked.net???
